Step 1: to mount the stainless steel straps to the windshield, first peel back the paper on the windshield to about 1 inch past the line of 5 bolt holes (Figure1). Keeping the paper there until mounted will protect it from scratching.
FIGURE 1

Find the front and back windshield supports as in Figure4 and check which length bolts to use in the proper holes. The 2 bottom holes mount to the fairing and use short bolts and the 2 holes directly above those 2 use long bolts
FIGURE 4

Taking the back windshield support, put it up against the windshield, make sure that you are lined up relative to the outer most holes... bend the windshield to fit the strip and install the center bolt thru the strip and windshield...have someone put the front strip on the other side of the windshield over the centre bolt and install the washer and nut. Now you can install the outer most bolts/washers thru the holes and install the washers/nuts on the other side....leave all bolts just finger tight...install the 2 longer bolts/washers in the 2 remaining holes which are the ones which attach the windshield to the fairing
FIGURE 3

FIGURE7 below shows the brackets mounted to the fairing...use the small bolts for the bottom holes and the larger for the top holes
FIGURE 7

To complete mounting the windshield to the fairing look at FIGURE9...the easiest way to get the nuts/washers on the 2 remaining bolts in the windshield straps is to hold the fairing on end and have someobne hold the windshield and the upper mounting bolt and the slip your hand behind and slip on a washer..THEN..slip on the nut...do the same for the other side...the 2 bottom bolts are easy to install...NOW..VERY IMPORTANT...DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE 4 BOLTS THAT MOUNT THE WINDSHIELD TO THE FAIRING...DAMAGE TO THE FAIRING WILL OCCUR AND QUITE POSSIBLY WILL NOT BE REPAIRABLE!

When mounting the fairing to the bikes 4 mounting bolts make sure place a washer between the fairing brackets and the head of the bolt.
